A Fairytale Journey with the Cave Beetle

The cavers of the Cave Adventures Centre also pass their love of nature and speleology on to the youngest visitors. In a world that is becoming faster every day and increasingly surrounded by screens, speleotourism is a form of green tourism that also fascinates young audiences.
With the product A Fairytale Journey with the Cave Beetle, experienced speleologists first introduce young visitors to one of the smallest cave inhabitants, the cave beetle (Anophthalmus hydrophilus). This is followed by a guided tour of a rock collection adapted to the age group of the visitors.
With new knowledge, the group then sets off with guides on an interesting walk through the forest to the entrance of a nearby karst cave, learning about plants and animals along the way and listening to local legends and fairy tales about the underground world.

The experience is carried out by prior arrangement from April to October.

Guided Experience Programme

Price
The price includes an introduction to local natural heritage, a guided tour of the rock collection, and guidance and animation during the forest walk.

Practical information
A Fairytale Journey with the Cave Beetle lasts 3 hours.

The experience is carried out for groups of at least 2 and up to 15 participants / for school groups.

Price per person: €40 (up to six people), €30 (more than six people).

Seasonally appropriate sports clothing and hiking shoes are recommended.

Parking is available at the CJD (Prapreče 2, 3305 Vransko). Alternatively, you may park in Vransko and walk approximately 1 km to the CJD through the town square, which hides many sights, and a chestnut tree-lined avenue leading from the campsite to the CJD.
